JetHawks home for six more games before the playoffs

(LANCASTER, CA) – The JetHawks final six home games before the club starts the California League playoffs begin this Friday at Clear Channel Stadium as the JetHawks host a three-game series against the Stockton Ports, the Oakland Athletics affiliate’s only visit to Lancaster this season, followed by a three-game series against the San Jose Giants. The JetHawks will close the season with a bang, as two of the biggest nights of the season remain on the team’s promotional schedule, along with a giveaway or special promotion every game.

Friday night will be the JetHawks Pray Ball Family Faith Night. There will be a live concert before the game with chart-topping Christian rock band Hawk Nelson and their special guests, The Send. The concert will begin at 5:30 in the southeast parking lot of Clear Channel Stadium. The JetHawks game begins at 7:00 with special appearances throughout the evening by the VeggieTales. After the game, fans can enjoy the JetHawks Friday Night Drive-In Movie on the video board with free popcorn. With over 1,000 tickets sold for the concert, fans are advised to reserve tickets before Friday’s game to guarantee entrance into the designated area.

The Annual Aerospace Appreciation Night, always one of the most eagerly anticipated events of the season, takes place Saturday night. This year’s honoree is legendary astronaut Buzz Aldrin. Dr. Aldrin will take part in a pair of special ceremonies on the field before and during the game. The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a bobblehead doll featuring Aldrin in the flight suit he wore when he became one of the first two men to walk on the moon. Following the game there will be a fireworks spectacular. Aerospace Appreciation Night is presented by Edwards Federal Credit Union. Gates open at 6:00 PM and the pre-game festivities begin at 6:35 with the first pitch at 7:00 PM.

Sunday the first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a free JetHawks team poster presented by Robertson’s Palmdale Honda and AV Harley Davidson. The commemorative poster features this year’s playoff-bound club surrounded by a Harley Davidson motorcycle and Honda truck. Game time is 5:00 PM.

The first half champions out of the Northern Division, the San Jose Giants, come to Clear Channel Stadium for a three-game series next week Tuesday through Thursday. The JetHawks are so confident as they enter the regular season’s final home games that they are guaranteeing wins Tuesday and Wednesday as part of Guaranteed Win Nights at the stadium. If the JetHawks win either game, fans’ game tickets will be good for a free ticket to a JetHawks playoff game on either September 8 or 9.

The last regular season home game is Thursday, August 30. As part of the festivities, prizes will be awarded to fans all game long and the JetHawks players will be wearing special Military jerseys that will be auctioned via a silent auction throughout the game, with proceeds benefiting a military charity and Girl Scouts of America. Following the game there will be a fireworks spectacular at Clear Channel Stadium presented by Ritter Ranch.

Great tickets for most JetHawks home games are available now. In addition, playoff tickets are available for all five potential home playoff games, including guaranteed games on September 8 and 9. All playoff tickets are only $5 general admission. Contact the JetHawks box office by phone at (661) 726-5400 or order online at www.JetHawks.com.
